Design plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Design-Waveland Park Pavilion Project. As of September 19, 2024, the city has awarded and identified a design team. Construction timeline has not yet been established. The Selected Design Firm Will Assist the City in First Developing Conceptual Design Materials, Which Will Include Cost Estimates, to Confirm Project Scope Prior to Proceeding With Final Design. The City is Looking at Two Potential Design Options: Renovation of the Existing Building or a Complete Demolition of the Existing Building and a New Construction Process (in the Same Area). Specifically, design services will include the development of conceptual design options that will inform the renovation versus reconstruction process, cost estimating, final design and construction documents, bidding documents and bid process support, and project construction oversight. City staff from the Public Works, Parks & Recreation, and Community Development Departments will work closely with this design firm throughout the entire design process as well as during the eventual project construction phase. The City of Lake Forest Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Submissions or Parts Thereof, to Waive Any Irregularities or Informalities in the Process.
