LINCOLN COUNTY, MS CONTRACT WASTE HAULER SERVICES FOR: COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF SOLID WASTE AND REFUSE The Board of Supervisors ofLincoln County, Mississippi (the"County") are soliciting sealedwritten proposals, pursuant toMiss. Code ANN. 31-7-13(r)(Supp. 2003) (the "Act") to furnish all labor, materials, workand services (collectively, the"Contract Waste Hauler Services" or the "Services") for thecollection and disposal of SolidWaste and Refuse(collectively"Solid Waste")and other termsunder definitions, in the requestfrom Residential Units and LightCommercial Units within thecurrent incorporated area of theCounty or as hereafter expanded, as described in the specifications (the "Specifications"). A proposal may not be modified, withdrawn or canceled bythe Proposer for a period of onehundred twenty (120) days following the date and time designated for receipt of proposals. The County reserves the right toaward an overall contract basedupon all proposals submitted.In accordance with the Act, after selection of the most qualified proposal, the County maynegotiate and enter contract,such contract may not necessarily be limited to the terms ofthe RFP proposal submitted. Ifthe County deems none of theproposals to be qualified or otherwise acceptable, the requestfor proposal process may bereinitiated. All information submitted in response to this Request for Proposals will be considered publicinformation after award of thecontract. A Proposal/Bid Security in theform of a certified or cashier'scheck, bank letter of credit orbid bond by a corporate suretylicensed to do business in Mississippi and acceptable to theCounty, in a sum of $50,000.00shall be required to be submitted with the proposal. It is understood that the Countyreserves the right to reject anyand all proposals, and to waivetechnicalities, irregularities andinformalities in proposals, solicitnew proposals or select the proposal or proposals that, in theopinion of the County shall bethe most qualified proposal.
