Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cloyne, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project includes approximately 1,380 sm. roof replacement on Roof Area C. This includes the removal of conventional BUR roof assembly and the installation of conventional PVC roof assembly, the installation of parapets, curbs, sheet metal flashings, and the reinstallation of rooftop mechanical equipment. In addition, the project includes the installation of a roof access ladder between Roof Areas C & D, the removal of an existing roof hatch with ladder and four existing skylights, and the replacement of suspended acoustic ceiling tiles around the skylights as specified in the attached drawings and specifications. An alternative roof assembly option is also requested. The two differences between the typical roof assembly and the alternate roof assembly are the installation of textured PVC membrane throughout the field of the roof and the PVC walkway membrane is not a requirement on the alternate roof assembly. The products and requirements for the installation of the membrane flashings, deck sheathing, vapour retarder, insulation and cover board products of the typical roof assembly remain unchanged in the alternate roof assembly.
