Renovation of a recreation facility in Marshalltown, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility.
The Project generally consists of the replacement and overlay of ths existing metal roof with an all new standing seam metal roof system and insulation. Work to include associated mechanical work as indicated. Construction Cost far the Project is anticipated to be: $2,844,934.99 Base Bld. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond. Certified Cheek, Cashier's Check or Certified Credit Union Share Draft in a separate sealed envelope in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, If Bid Bond is submitted, nt must ba writes' on an original AIA Document A310. The Certified Check or Cashier's Check or Csrtited Share Draft shar be drawn on a bank or credit union in Iowa or a bank or credit union chartered under the laws of the United States of America, and payable to the Iowa Valley Community College District as security test if awarded a Contrast by resolution of the Board, the Bidder wiif enter info a Contract at the pries of Bid and fom$b the required Performance and Payment Bonds and Certificate of insurance. Cashless Check or Certified Share Drat may be casted, or the Bid Bond forfeited, and the proceeds retained as penalty if the Bidder falls to execute a Contract or file accsptebla Performance and Payment Bcstefo) and provide an acceptable Certificate of Insurance, within ten (10) days after rstelrre of acceptance of his Bid by resolution of tee Board. Provide blanks on envelopes for signature and time and date stamp per statutory requirements. The successful Bidder will bo required to furnish corporate surety Performance Bond and Labor & Materials Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred per cent (100%) of the total Contract Price. Said Bond shall be issued by a responsible surety approved by the Board and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and toe terms and conditions therein contained and the maintenance of said improvements in good repair for not less than one (1 j year from the time of acceptance of sard imprenrements by the Board. Questions and clarifications shall be directed to the Architect as identified above. Significant questions, clarifications, changes, or additional information will be issued by the Architect in the form of Addenda to all plan holders of record and plan centers. The project will commence upon Notice to Proceed as soon as award of hid and processing of contracts will allow on or about May 18, 2024. On site cohstmoften shall begin as new materials are available on site. Scheduled Substantial Completion Is August 2, 2024. A preliminary schedule is Included with ths drawings showing the anticipated phased construction. Questions and clarifications shall be directed to toe Architect as identified above.
