Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Goldfield, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The work for the project shall be accomplished under a single General Contract. Each Bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security, in a separate sealed envelope, intheformofeither (1) cash, cashiers check or certified check or certified share draft drawingonacredit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal toat least Five (5%) Percent of Project Bid Amount or (2) a Bid Bond executed by a corporationauthorizedto contract as a surety in the State of Iowa with the amount or penal sumof not lessthanFive(5%) Percent of Project Bid Amount. The bid security should be made payabletotheCityof Goldfield. Such bid security shall be forfeited to the City of Goldfield as liquidateddamagesinthe event the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into a Contract withinten(10) daysafterthe Award of Contract and post bond satisfactory to said owner insuring thefaithful fulfillment of the Contract pursuant to the provisions of this Notice and the other Contract Documents. On-site mobilization and demolition shall begin no sooner than July 15, 2024. TheOwnerrequires substantial completion for the project by October 25, 2024. The City Council of Goldfield Iowa reserves the right to reject any or all bids andwaiveall informality and irregularity in connection therewith if the same is judged to beintheir best interests, and to make a selection, including that of any Alternate Bids, that intheir judgment isbest suited for the purpose intended for the project.
