Playground Improvements at Santa Fe Park Questions will be answered in the form of written addenda and provided to all Bidders, as per State of Illinois statutes. This work is related to the Santa Fe Park Playground Renovation and Landscape Improvements and includes demolition and removal of existing equipment, furnishings, and EWF surfacing, installation of owner furnished Burke playground equipment, district furnished site furnishings, installation of EWF surfacing and drainage, Installation of asphalt sport court, fencing, plantings, and seeding operations and any other miscellaneous work necessary for a complete job as depicted in the plans and specifications. The District encourages the participation of businesses owned by Minorities, Females and Persons with Disabilities in the implementation and execution of the Project, either on a direct basis or through subcontracting efforts. DBE requirements for the Project are consistent with State of Illinois DBE requirements. A DBE Form must be submitted as a part of Contractor's bid. The contractor awarded the contract will be required to post a performance bond, labor and material payment bond in a penal amount equal to the contract price, plus insurance meeting District requirements, and furnish monthly Certified Payroll documentation meeting Illinois Department of Labor requirements. The contractor awarded the contract will be required to licensed by the Village of Willow Springs, Illinois and complete all licensing requirements, fees, and deposits as required by the Village of Willow Springs This contract calls for the construction of a "public work", within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01, et seq. (the "Act") The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers and workers performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's website at: http://www.state.il.us/agency/idol/ rates. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. For the entire duration of this work under the Contract, the Contractor shall conform to the federal and state statutes on equal opportunity and fair employment. Submission of required certified payroll records will be required prior to payment by Owner to the installation contractor. This notice shall not create any legal obligation on behalf of the District to evaluate any bid that is submitted by a contractor, or to enter into any contract with a contractor submitting a bid. The District reserves the right to (1) cancel or modify this notice or the contract documents in whole or in part; (2) reject any or all bids submitted; (3) waive nonmaterial formalities and technicalities deemed appropriate; (4) postpone bid opening; (5) issue a call for new bids; and/or (6) award the contract for the project in whole or in part, or to one or more contractors.
