Scope- The Project consists of installing new 12-inch, and 16-inch water lines between the elevated storage tank on Mercedes Street and the Montdel elevated storage tank near the intersection of I-20 and Bellaire Dr. All proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check or a bid bond in an amount of not less than 5% of the maximum total bid price, as a guarantee that bidder will enter into a contract and execute all required bonds within ten (10) days after notice of a contract award. The bid security must be included in the same envelope as the bid proposal and bids received without a bid security will not be considered. A performance bond and payment bond, each in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract and upon payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials, will be required. A maintenance bond in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon maintenance of this project for a period of two years, shall also be required. The three aforementioned bonds shall be made payable to the "Benbrook Water Authority". The Benbrook Water Authority reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the Proposals submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, to reject any or all Proposals, and/or waive formalities. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
