Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Savannah, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and playground / park / athletic field.
The project is within the city limits of Garden City adjacent to Salt Creek on US 17. The work consists of regrading an existing dirt parking area and paving the parking area. The park will be closed during the construction period. Erosion and sedimentation control plans are provided and must be implemented prior to and maintained during construction. Questions Due Date: May 8th 2024, 2:00 PM EDT. Award of Contract: The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to that responsible bidder whose bid/proposal will be most advantageous to Chatham County, price and other factors considered. The Board of Commissioners will make the determination as to which bid or proposal that serves as the best value to Chatham County. Goals established for this project are 12% MBE/ 5% WBE unless otherwise specified. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES- Failure to complete all work within 120 calendar days plus any extension authorized in writing by the County shall entitle the County to deduct as "Liquidated Damages" from the monies due the Contractor the amount of $250 for each calendar day in excess of the authorized construction time. Work shall begin within ten (10) days after receipt of "Notice to Proceed." All work shall be completed within 120 calendar days after the ten (10) day period.
