Site work for a water / sewer project in Schulenburg, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Bids are invited for the US 77 Water Line Improvements - Kallus Street to South of Bruce Street Project as described in the specifications, including new water lines, tie-ins, boring, valves, meters and associated appurtenances. Sanitary sewer & Storm sewer lines and associated appurtenances will also be part of the bid package. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Schulenburg or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities and irregularities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed seventy (70) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Basis of award will be to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder who provides goods or services using the following criteria: the proposal price; o the historical quality of the bidder's goods or services; and o the bidder's past responsible performance, safety and working relationship with the city and other entities. Question Deadline 04/25/2024 No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretations should be in writing to BEFCO ENGINEERING INC., P.O. BOX 615, LA GRANGE, TEXAS 78945 and to be given consideration must be received as least five days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
