RFB #FM24-30 This project generally consists of removing loose field stone, cleaning and prepping the retaining wall surface to re-attach field stone and tuckpoint other areas throughout the entire wall, and disposing of any debris as a result of completing this project. The retaining wall is approximately 174 feet long and tapers down from about 15 1/2 feet high to about 5 feet high at the opposite end of the wall as shown on the site plan included in the bid specifications with this request. The wall is approximately 2 feet thick. Interested firms may visit the project site on their own and take measurements for this project. Park in the west parking lot and the wall will be located on the north side of the parking lot. There is enough room to walk around the wall and through the traffic gate to see the north side of the wall. Question Deadline 04/23/2024 All questions resulting in further clarification or modification to this request will be handled by written addenda. Questions shall be directed to the Purchasing Office via email to purchasing1@washcowisco.gov. Questions must be asked at least three (3) business days prior to the bid due date. Bid security is required and shall be by a qualified surety in the form of a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount and shall be submitted with the bid. Failure to submit the required bid security as part of the firm's sealed bid will result in immediate rejection of the firm's bid. The accepted bidder will also be required, as a condition precedent to award of contract, to furnish in the amount of 100% of the contract price, satisfactory Performance/Payment Bond and acceptable Certificate of Insurance. The project shall be completed no later than October 31, 2024. Washington County reserves the right to waive any informalities or technicalities and to reject any and all bids or parts thereof deemed to be unsatisfactory or not in the County's best interest. Furthermore, Washington County reserves the right to cancel any order or contract for failure of the successful bidder to comply with the terms, conditions and specifications of the bid request and/or contract.
