The C it y of B ig Spring ( hereinafter referred to a s "City") is requesting sealed bids from qualified individuals interested in contracting with the City to provide services for the removal of a n d r e p l a c e m e n t o f w i n d o w s at the City of Big Spring's City Hall location. All bids must be submitted on the form provided by the c i t y , and further must be properly executed in the space (s) provided. The si t e area and structure are illustrated on the and pictures attached to this R FB (see Attachment A) Bids should be prepared sim ply, providing straightforward, concise description of the Proposer's approach and capabilities necessary to satisfy the requirements of the R FB. Technical literature and elaborate promotional materials, if any, must be submit ted separately. Emphasis in the bid should be on completeness, clarity of content and adherence to the presentation structure required by the R FB. Bids shall be delive red using one of the following methods: Hand Deliver or Mail to the following address: City of Big Spring, TX 310 Nolan St Big Spring, TX 79720 ATTN: Human Resource Any and all questi ons re garding thi s R FB must be submit ted in writing and addressed to Albert Belez, P urch asing Agent, 310 Nolan St. Big Spring, TX 79720, or e-mailed to a b e l e z @ m y b i g s p r i n g . c o m . All e-mails must indi cate "RFB No. 24-019" in the subject line. It is the sender 's respon sibili ty to verify receipt of email. The deadline for subm it tal of qu estions regarding th is RFB is 5 :00 p .m . (CST ) on Tuesday, May 14,2024. No person has the authority to verbally alter the terms of this R FB . Any changes to thi s RFB will be made in th e for m of an Add endum which will be mad e available online at www.mybigspring.com. It shall be the responsibil it y of inter ested proposers to check the websit e for add enda up to the bid submission deadline. The complete R FB an d all Addendums will be posted on the City's website. Removal of current windows - The proposer will agree to remove and dispose of approximately 82(eighty-four) windows located at the city hall. Certi fi cations and permits - The P roposer will be responsible for obtaining all certifications and permits necessary for co mpletion of the p roject f rom the appropriat e r eg ulatory ag encies. Any applicable p ermitt ing fe e s normally iss ued by the Cit y may be w aived but obtaining t he pe rmit(s) may sti ll be required, at t he discretion of the Cit y. Reuse of Material s - No materials from the proj ect are proposed for reuse b y the city. Salvage of Material s - Unless referenced oth er wise in an Add endum, the P roposer sh all take ownership and r esponsibi li ty of all scrap/salvage materials. Measurements -Prospers MUST tour the worksite to ensure that measurements are to the "exact fit". Material - The awarded prosper shall provide all materials to complete the project, including all windows that are specified under "detailed specifications". Special Requirem ents - C aution and car e must be exe rcised to p reven t damage to adja cen t property, sidew alks, ped estrians, and str eetsc ape and to ensur e that exist in g structures in the area can oper ate normally without signi ficant disruption during demolit ion activities. A ny required street closur es shall be a pproved by the City at le ast 48 hours in adv ance. Any damage to str eet, curb, or adj acent inf rastr ucture will be at the resp onsi bil it y of the P roposer. Safety- The Proposer sh a ll comply with safety rules and regulations pert aining to the activity, and shall govern employees according to, and in com pli ance with the applicab le OSHA Regulations. Precautions and s afety m easures sh all be provided for the safety of all workers. The Proposer shall maintain an accu rate r ecord of exposure d ata on a ll accidents incidental to work perfo rmed unde r this contract resulting in death, traumatic inj ury, occupational disease, or da mage to property, materials, supplies, or equipmen t. Proposer shall provide information describing the specific safety measures/pl ans to be used in this project to protect personnel, public, structures and infrastructur e. Bid must include any/all fees rel ated to th is requirement. Hazardous Material s - P reliminary inspections of the sit e has been perf ormed to identify any contamination related to asbestos.
