Renovation of a water / sewer project in Oregon, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

**As of May 14, 2024, no bids received for this project. As of this time it is unknown if and when project will rebid. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of deteriorated concrete located in the original Plant #1 Chemical Building. The majority of work includes replacing concrete flume slabs, beams, walls and walkways around the sedimentation and recarbonation basins, which are outdoor open-top basins, The work will include miscellaneous grating and handrail replacement, along with demolition and temporary shoring for the concrete work. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in an amount of 10% of the bid amount in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code and the Information To Bidders. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be satisfactory to the City and be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the projects will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the Davis-Bacon wage rates on public improvements in Lucas County and the City of Oregon, Ohio as determined by the federal government. This procurement is subject to the EPA policy of encouraging the participation of small businesses in rural areas (SBRAs). No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Council of the City of Oregon, Ohio, reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. The Engineer's estimated cost of construction for the Bid is $1,905,000. This project is being partially funded with Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) funds and with Ohio EPA Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA) funds with Buy American requirements.
