The Township of Marlboro is requesting bids for the processing and disposal of all brush, wood debris and yard waste which may be deposited at the Township brush recycling area during the term of the contract. Bidders shall familiarize themselves with local access and site conditions. Upon mobilization, successful bidder and Superintendent of Public Works will perform an inspection of the site and agree upon the quantity of material to be processed and removed. All material shall be ground to a finished product that will allow it to be readily disposed of. Any stumps or large logs not capable of being ground shall be hauled away by the contractor with the balance of the material. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to waive any minor discrepancies in the bids or specifications when deemed to be in the best interest of the Township. Inasmuch as damage and loss for the failure will be difficult to accurately assess, the contractor shall pay to the Township of Marlboro as liquidated damages and not as a penalty, in all cases where the Township shall elect to accept said liquidated damages, the following sums for the following acts Quantities as shown are approximate and the Township reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities at the unit price bid. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to the Township of Marlboro. Questions concerning the bid and requests for clarification should be submitted in writing no later than seven (7) days prior to the bid opening date.
