Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hanksville, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; for paving for a transportation facility; and water / sewer project.
As of June 20, 2024 project was awarded to WS Construction, LLC, awarded amount is $1,026,831.11. The project consists of, but is not limited to, the erection of a prefabricated steel shade hangar to house up to 6 aircraft (nested) at the Hanksville Airport, Hanksville, UT, with associated asphalt apron, taxiway, taxilane and crushed aggregate shouldering as well as tie-down anchors. The shade hangar structure will be about 1,250 SY in size, located west of the existing tie-downs. Other work items include: clearing and grubbing, excavation, subgrade preparation, placement of subbase and base aggregates as well as drainage improvements and installation of spare conduits. Asphalt paving and pavement marking will be included as an additive option. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cash, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond in an Amount Not Less Than 5% of the Total Bid. Civil Rights - Title Vi the UDOT Division of Aeronautics, in Accordance With the Provisions of Title Vi of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, Hereby Notifies All Bidders or Offerors That It Will Affirmatively Ensure That for Any Contract Entered Into Pursuant to This Advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Will Be Afforded Full and Fair Opportunity to Submit Bids in Response to This Invitation and No Businesses Will Be Discriminated Against on the Grounds of Race, Color, National Origin (Including Limited English Proficiency), Creed, Sex (Including Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity), Age, or Disability in Consideration for an Award. The Proposed Contract is Also Under and Subject to the Following Federal Clauses: o Affirmative Action, o Government-wide Debarment and Suspension o Government-wide Requirements for Drug-free Workplace o Foreign Trade Restrictions o Buy American Preference o Disadvantage Business Enterprise Requirements as Follows: the Requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 Apply to This Contract. It is the Policy of the UDOT Division of Aeronautics to Practice Nondiscrimination Based on Race, Color, Sex, or National Origin in the Award or Performance of This Contract. The Owner Encourages Participation by All Firms Qualifying Under This Solicitation Regardless of Business Size or Ownership. All Required Federal Clauses Including the Labor Provisions, and Wage Rates Are Included in the Specifications and Bid Documents. Each Bidder Must Supply All of the Information Required by the Bid Documents and Specifications. This Project Includes Federal Funds and is Subject to the Requirements of Federal Davis-bacon, and Related Acts. Payments to the Contractor Will Not Made Until All Required Documentation Has Been Submitted and Approved for the Prime Contractor and All Subcontractors. Each Bidder Shall Furnish the Statement of Bidders Pre-qualifications to the Owner With Satisfactory Evidence of Their Competency to Perform the Work Contemplated With the Bid. The UDOT Division of Aeronautics Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Proposals, Waive Any Informalities, or Irregularities, Postpone the Award of the Contract for a Period Not to Exceed One Hundred Twenty (120) Days, and Accept the Proposal That is in the Best Interest of the UDOT Division of Aeronautics. The Award of the Bid is Contingent Upon the Receipt of Federal Funding. All questions regarding this project should be directed to the Project Manager, Kimberly Silvester, PE @ KSilvester@jub.com. PHASED CONSTRUCTION Contractor is directed to the Construction Safety and Phasing Plan (CSPP) located to the Appendix of the Contract Documents and in subsection 80-08 of the FAA General Provisions. o Phase 1 - includes all work associated with clearing and grubbing, excavation, subgrade preparation, subbase and base aggregate placement, conduit, drainage improvements, shouldering from the Base Bid (BB) Schedule and the asphalt paving from the Additive Option (AO1) Bid Schedule, if awarded. Core drilling and pouring concrete columns and aircraft tie down anchors from the BB Schedule will also be included in Phase 1. After the concrete columns are poured, no vibratory compaction will be allowed within 10-ft of the columns for 72 hours minimum. Phase 2 may not begin until 21 calendar days have elapsed from the pouring of the concrete columns and tie-down anchors to allow them to cure fully. A suspension of contract time will be issued prior to beginning Phase 2, if requested by the Contractor. o Phase 2 - Phase 2 includes all work associated with erecting the steel shade hangar structure from the BB Schedule, seeding and applying the permanent paint markings a minimum of 30-days after paving from the AO1 Bid Schedule. Any aggregate or pavement surfaces contaminated during construction/erection of the shade hangar structure shall be replaced at no cost to the Owner as determined by the RPR/Engineer. 16. BID SCHEDULE Question Deadline 05/02/2024 The CONTRACTOR'S Bid Proposal shall include their bid to complete all work identified in the Contract Documents on the Bid Schedule of Items and Prices, including the Base Bid Schedule(s) and all Additive Alternate Bids asfollows: o Base Bid Schedule (BB) - Construct Shade Hangars and Expand Apron with Aggregate: Construction for BB will include all work to expand the Apron with a P-208 Crushed Aggregate surface, erect the Shade Hangar structure and associated work, including conduit and drainage improvements. o Additive Option 1 Bid Schedule (AO1) - Pave and Mark Expanded Apron: Construction for AO1 adds P403 Asphalt Surface Paving and Permanent Paint Marking of the expan
