This project consists of upgrading the existing sanitary sewer pumping station, eliminating the dry well, rehabilitating/modifying/epoxy lining the wet well to allow the installation of a new submersible package pumping station complete with new level control switches and such items as needed to complete the construction of a temporary construction staging area complete with traffic control and 6' high fencing, removing/replacing control panels, removing/replacing the electrical panel and meter complete with new electrical power switch for backup power, removing/reusing existing backup power plug connection assembly, removing existing concrete slab(s) and wet well lid, removing existing pumps and appurtenances, constructing a complete submersible pump rail and chain lift system, constructing a complete trash basket/ladder system, removing/reconstructing the access hatch, plugging and removing wet well pipes/openings, removing/rerouting the existing force main discharge piping, decommissioning the existing dry well and access, plus the pump station startup, final cleanup/final restoration and all other miscellaneous items as required to complete the pumping station project. Bid security in the form of a certified treasurer's or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the bid amount not to exceed $20,000 is required and should be made payable to The City of Northfield with a letter of surety. Bidders must submit with their bids the Non-Collusion Affidavit contained in the contract documents. Successful Bidder is required to pay the higher of the current State or Federal Prevailing Wage Rate to all workers employed on the project. Successful Bidder must furnish a one hundred (100%) percent Performance Bond and one hundred (100%) percent Payment Bond issued by a surety satisfactory to the Municipality. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of The Affirmative Action Regulations of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq
