Procurement Overview and Goals. The Office of State Procurement is seeking bids for the Exterior Door Assembly Replacement and Installation Project for Smith and Quinn Hall located at 615 Olof Hanson Drive, Faribault, MN 55021. The Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf (MSAD) completed a project the summer of 2023 to connect Smith and Quinn Hall. During this project, new entries were created with newly installed door assemblies. Now, MSAD requires replacement of the original building entrances to match the appearance and quality of the assemblies installed in the new corridor area. All of these entrances have a door in a curtain wall with internal and external location to create a vestibule. The Contractor will remove and dispose of existing door assemblies. The Contractor will salvage and reinstall all card readers and door strikes at noted door assemblies. The Contractor will be responsible for any wall, ceiling, floor patching required resulting from the door assembly removal/replacement. The addition of two (2) ADA entrances will be included in the project. One at Smith Hall south 3A & 3B and Quinn Hall south 6A & 6B. The State will be responsible to run any line voltage electrical. The Contractor will be responsible for all hardware installation and any electrical connections involving any card access and ADA operators. Sample Tasks and Deliverables.
