The consultant shall be able to provide the City with expertise, reviews, or designs associated with: o Citywide Speed Surveys. o Traffic engineering design plans including traffic signals, street lighting, signal communications, signing/striping, and traffic control. o Roundabout layouts and geometric designs. o Traffic signal timing plans. o Traffic signal coordination timing plans. o Traffic engineering studies including traffic investigations, safety analyses, corridor studies, feasibility analyses, and traffic impact studies. o Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) designs. o Fiber communications planning and designs. o Training and guiding staff on City traffic signal management systems, traffic signal controllers, network equipment, and integration of related traffic signal equipment. o Preparation of local, state, and federal grants. o Provide other traffic engineering related professional services as required. The City of Temecula Local Vendor Preference is applicable to this Solicitation pursuant to Chapter 3.28 of the Temecula Municipal Code. A five percent (5%) preference will be given to Local Vendors in the determination for approval of this agreement. Qualified vendors, contractors, or consultants (Vendors) that desire consideration as a City of Temecula Local Vendor under this solicitation must complete the "Statement of Local Vendor Certification" (contained herein as Exhibit A) and submit it as part of their solicitation response. Late submittals of the Statement of Local Vendor Certification will not be considered. Submission of this statement will qualify the Vendor for treatment as a Local Vendor for purposes of this solicitation only. The statement made under this solicitation shall not qualify the Vendor as a Local Vendor under any other solicitation.
