Scope of Work: The bidder is responsible for determining the requirements based on square footage and use of the areas to be served. The bidder is responsible to provide a replacement system that is equal or better in capacity than the existing installed equipment. The successful bidder shall deliver and install air conditioning systems to the designated areas with the following specifications: Kitchen Hood MAU-1 Replacement Installation Shut down the existing Greenheck MAU-1 that serves the main kitchen hood unit. Lock out main electrical for safety. Perform complete disconnect of all components to allow for the removal of the existing unit from the roof. (Duct work/roof curb adapters/electrical/gas piping) o Supply and utilize crane to rig and remove/dispose of the existing roof top Greenheck MAU-1 that serves the Kitchen Hood. o Supply and install (1) replacement Greenheck (or equivalent) MAU system (inclusive of the replacement MAU unit, Exhaust Unit, 2 stages of gas heating section). o Supply and install welded OEM curb adapters Utilize crane to rig/hoist/install the new replacement MAU. Reconnect of existing electrical supply and gas piping. Make alterations to gas piping as needed to accommodate new unit. o Supply and install main control panel for unit in the kitchen area in the same vicinity of the existing panel. Perform complete startup and testing of new Greenheck unit to ensure safe and proper operation. Kitchen MA-1 Replacement Installation Shut down the existing Hastings MA-1 unit. Lock out main electrical for safety. Perform complete disconnect of all components to allow for the removal of the existing unit from the roof. (Duct work/roof curb adapters/electrical/gas piping). o Supply and utilize crane to rig and remove/dispose of the existing roof top MA-1 unit. o Supply and install (1) replacement Hastings (or equivalent) MA-1 Unit. o Supply and install welded OEM curb adapters. Utilize crane to rig/hoist/install the new replacement MA-1 unit. Reconnect of existing electrical supply and gas piping. Make alterations to gas piping as needed to accommodate new unit. Perform complete startup and testing of new MA-1 unit to ensure safe and proper operation. Kitchen RTU-1 Replacement Installation Shut down and perform complete disconnect of the existing RTU-1. Recover refrigerant from existing unit per EPA guidelines. Utilize crane to perform the removal of the existing RTU, and installation of the new RTU unit. Dispose of the existing roof top unit. o Supply and install (1) New TRANE (or equivalent) replacement RTU-1 inclusive of gas fired capability and an economizer section to allow for fresh air into the occupied spaces. o Supply custom built roof curb adapter to accommodate the new roof top unit. Run gas line to new RTU-1 from the existing gas line on the roof to the kitchen units. O Perform complete startup and testing of new RTU-1 to ensure safe and proper operations. Provide demolition and removal/disposal of the (2) unit ventilators in the ceiling of the serving room. o Cap off the existing duct penetrations on the roof from the (2) disposed unit ventilators and seal. Exclusions / clarifications Power and line voltage control wiring is to be installed by SAU staff o Tying new HVAC equipment into buildings control system is to be installed by SAU staff Work to be completed during normal working hours The bid award may be awarded to multiple vendors by roof location, when all factors are considered and is deemed to be in the best interest of the Hudson School District. The District reserves the right to waive any informality and to accept or reject any, all or part of submitted quotes. The successful bidder must be able to provide all services listed in the Scope of Services in this RFP. It is anticipated that the successful proposal will be awarded by the Hudson School Board at its regularly scheduled meeting on May 20, 2024.
