Question Deadline May 03, 2024 at 4:30 PM PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE REQUEST FOR BID The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse ("UWL" or "University") through its Business Services - Procurement and Contracts Administration, requests Bids for the purchase of network cabling installation services for new and previously installed Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) and other voice, data, or video systems. Network cabling is defined as including outside aerial and underground cables and inside riser, distribution, and station cabling copper twisted pair, coaxial cable and fiber-optic cables and other types of lowvoltage signaling cables installed within buildings or campus environments and intends to use the results of this process to award a Contract. UWL does not guarantee it will purchase any specific quantity or dollar amount. Bids that require a minimum number of commodities or Services be ordered will be rejected. There will be no guarantee to purchase any specific quantity or pay any minimum Contract price during the term of the Contract. In the event that network cabling standards change or new generations/technologies for cabling are introduced during the term of this Contract, the University may request pricing and amend the Contract to include these items and the applicable pricing. State agencies and UW campuses may use this Contract. The awarding of a contract under this RFB shall not be deemed an exclusive rights contract whereby only the awarded bidder(s) would be permitted to perform the type of services mentioned in this RF
