Scope: The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service is receiving bids until May 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM local time, for construction services for the Intersection - Georgesville Road at Hall Road and Intersection - Bethel Road at Dierker Road, PID 104704, Capital Improvement Project 530086-100041 & 538029-100000 projects. Bids are to be submitted only at www.bidexpress.com. Hard copies shall not be accepted. This project involves the construction of right-turn lanes on Georgesville Road and Hall Road. Georgesville Road and Hall Road will be resurfaced within the project limits and drainage and storm sewers will be improved. A detention pond will be constructed along with replacing the existing traffic signal with the addition of a Shared-Use Path (SUP) to the south side of Hall Road. As well as existing concrete median removal, shifting of existing signal heads and the realignment of the left turn lanes on Bethel Road at the intersection of Dierker Road, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications, and plans on file and other specifications set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB). Only pre-qualified prime contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. ODOT Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. The "prime" contractor must perform no less than 50 percent of the total original price. The DBE Goal for this project is 8%.
