The project consists of building out unfinished space and interior renovation of the 4th floor of Fairbanks Hall from unoccupied attic space to Group B occupancy with teaching spaces and a couple offices. Scope of Work. The scope includes seismic upgrade, electrical, and HVAC system upgrade, as well as other building systems to comply with current building codes; exterior improvements include the addition of a new skylight (The roof was installed in 2022), louvers at dormers to accommodate HVAC and changing existing louvers to windows at the north and south ends. Two new restrooms will be added. The existing space has been unoccupied for several decades and is generally in a raw unfinished state. New bat insulation is currently rolled out on the original wood floors per the recent Fairbanks Hall basement through 3rd floor renovation project. Insulation will need to be lifted to the ceiling structure. Notice of Intent to Award By May 24, 2024 Estimated Notice to Proceed By June 10, 2024 Question Deadline 05/07/2024 at 12:00 PM PT Final Addendum Issuance (if necessary) By May 10, 2024 Each Bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security the amount equal to 10% of the total Bid as security for Bidders obligation to enter into a Contract with OSU.The Undersigned agrees, if awarded the Contract, to deliver to Owner, a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the Contract sum, using forms provided by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive minor informalities.
