Surety in the form of a bid bond, certified check or Cashier's Check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to the Township of Piscataway shall submit with the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the Amount of 100% of total bid. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A.10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17-27 et seq. Division of Purchasing. The bid package will also include other documents that must be completed and returned with 40A:11-1 et seq., the bid. Failure to comply with Instructions to Bidders and to complete and submit all required forms, may be cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid. The Township of Piscataway reserves the right to reject any or all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., and to waive any informalities that may be in the best interests of the Township. CONTRACTS A. Award of Contract; Rejection of Bid The contract shall be awarded, if at all, to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the Township. The Township of Piscataway reserves the right to reject any or all bids as authorized by the Local Public Contracts Law, and to waive any informalities the Township feels are in the best interests of the Township. Award the Contract or Reject All Bids--Sixty (60) Days Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., The Township of Piscataway shall award the contract or reject all bids within sixty (60) days of the advertised date and time, except that bids of any bidders who consent thereto may, at the request of the Township, be held in consideration for such longer period as may be agreed.
