**As of June 7, 2024, the project was awarded to TK Painting, Inc., but the awarded amount is not available.** Work Schedule: All work for this project needs to be performed during evenings, week-ends, holidays and school breaks; and shall be completed by June 30, 2024. A school calendar will be provided to attendees of the mandatory pre-bid meeting All work for this project shall be completed by midnight, June 30, 2024. The contractor shall be subject to a $500.00 per day penalty for each day after June 30, 2024 that any of the specified painting is not complete. The only justification for extensions of this date that will be considered are, unforeseen instances in which the facility would not be available to the successful bidder for the performance of work during the times described in Section 2.5 of this document. BOND REQUIREMENTS The successful bidder shall provide a performance bond in the name of Amherst County School Board, in the sum of the total contract amount, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract, in strict conformity with the plans, specifications and conditions of the contract, including project completion requirements and workmanship described in the invitation for bids. In lieu of a performance bond, a bidder may furnish a certified check or checks, cashier's check(s) or cash escrow(s) in the face amount required for the bond. If providing the performance bond alternatives of either certified or cashier's checks, the County may accept two separate checks, each for 50% of the total project amount. One of the checks may be released at satisfactory completion of at least 50% of the project work and the second check released at satisfactory project completion. In the event of an "Act of God", such as death by the contract owner, prior to contract commencement, bond requirements will not be pursued by the County.
