Description: SCDNR is requesting quotes to repair an earthen road washout and install 32 LF of reinforced concrete pipe. Project Location: Marsh Lake Road, Mullins, SC 29581 Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to: 1) Upon approval of the SCDNR project coordinator, remove and dispose of any trees located within the project limits to a specific area within the Wildlife Management Area. 2) Backfill, re-grade, and properly compact the roadway and embankment. In addition, class B riprap and geotextile fabric shall be installed at the pipe outlets to prevent soil migration. The contractor shall be responsible for protecting the property outside of the designated clearing area to prevent sediment from migrating from the site. 3) Installed reinforced concrete pipe, ensuring Pipes are sealed and properly connected at the joint. Backfill should be compacted properly in equal lifts to minimize any pipe movement when backfilling. 4) Install geotextile fabric for slope protection adjacent to outlet pipes, in accordance with the technical specification 0600 - Riprap stabilization included in the project manual. 5) Furnish and install class B Riprap and engineering geotextile fabric per the plans and specifications. Place stone by dumping such that the smaller stone is uniformly distributed through the mass. Place stone to the required thickness on slopes at locations designated on the plans or at locations designated by the engineer. 6) Stabilize slope embankment and seed any exposed soil/disturbed areas with permanent grass seed.
