Site work and paving for a civil project in Skokie, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

Main Street Bridge Expansion Joint Replacement Tenders are invited to furnish all necessary labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, and appurtenances, including transportation, barricades, and traffic control, necessary to replace the damaged expansion joint on the west side of the Main Street Bridge over the North Shore Channel in Skokie and Evanston, Illinois through December 31, 2024. The estimated cost of the work under this Contract is $200,000.00. There is no bid deposit for this Contract. A contractor's bond will be required. Please refer to the CONTRACTOR'S BOND section in the Agreement for additional information about this requirement. The District will only respond to questions received online up to ONE (1) WEEK prior to the bid opening date of the bidding documents. The District will not respond to questions received after this date. The District does not guarantee the timeliness of responses provided online, nor does the District guarantee that such responses will be provided in adequate time to affect the submission of bids. The District shall provide responses online ONLY if the responses do not interpret or otherwise change the bidding documents. VBE goals are separate from Minority-owned Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) goals. An Eligible Veteran who is also an MBE or WBE may be dual-utilized to fulfill both goals. However, the three-percent (3%) VBE goal must be accomplished in addition to the M/WBE goals set forth in this contract. The work under this Contract is classified as "General Construction Services" for the Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), and Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) Utilization goals contained in the Affirmative Action Ordinance Revised Appendix D. The associated utilization goals for this Contract are 20% MBE, 9% WBE, and 3% VBE. Should you have any questions, please contact the Diversity Office at 312-751-4035.
