The scope of work includes flooring removal and installation at several separate facilities. All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Park District for ten prevent (10%) of the amount of the bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No proposals will be considered unless accompanied by such a bond or check. The Skokie Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any technicalities in the bidding if it should be deemed in the public's best interest. The Work of this project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. A prevailing wage determination has been made for the Park District by IDOL for public works projects in Cook County. The contract entered into for the work will be drawing in compliance with said law and proposals should be prepared accordingly and provide payment for all laborers, workmen and mechanics needed to perform the work at no less than the prevailing rate of wages for each craft, type of worker or mechanic. The scope of this project consists of removal and disposal of the existing marmoleum flooring and cove base in the 2 nd floor combined Program 1 and 2 room well as the carpeting in the dance studio and installing Mannington Spacia (American Walnut) 6"x 36" vinyl planks and Tarket vinyl cove base, or equal to or superior products approved by the Owner, per the manufacturer's installation recommendations. Please note that the flooring type to be installed is the same for the program rooms and dance studio.
