Site work and renovation of a civil project in Fort Collins, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
SCOPE OF CONTRACT: This contract comprises the replacement of various components of the Crow Valley Campground Water System with optional work for the reconstruction of the water system at Olive Ridge Campground. PROJECT OBJECTIVES: The contractor shall be responsible for supplying all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies for completing the contract work. Work at Crow Valley Campground is incorporated into the base project and option A. Work for Olive Ridge Campground is all classified as optional, and is divided into two categories included in options B and C. Portions of all option item categories may be exercised within 60 days of contract award and will be selected based on availability of funds and item priority. The Crow Valley Campground Water Improvement work consists of removal and replacement of existing plumbing and electrical, well pump and controls, hydro-pneumatic tank, electrical work, and yard hydrants. System components to be added include isolation valves and reduced pressure zone (RPZ) backflow preventers. Optional work includes removal and replacement of pipes and fittings connecting the two livestock tanks to the PVC distribution pipe. The Olive Ridge Campground Water Improvement consists of removal of an existing wood frame treatment building and foundation, new treatment building with upgraded plumbing and controls, new well pump, pit less unit and well cap, installation of chlorine feed equipment, equalization tank, booster pump and hydro-pneumatic tank, and associate electrical work and replacement of the distribution piping and yard hydrants and installation of day light drains. Locations- The Crow Valley Campground project located at Crow Valley Campground & Briggsdale Work Center, approximately 1/2 mile north of Hwy 14 along CR 77, Colorado. The Olive Ridge Campground project is located at Olive Ridge Campground, approximately 2 miles north of Allens Park, Colorado on State Highway 7. All questions are due no later than 29 May 2024. Send all questions to paula.sales@usda.gov. Crow Valley: Crow Valley construction shall not begin until 08/01/2024. The contractor must give the COR 14 days' notice before starting work at Crow Valley. All Crow Valley work shall be completed within 60 days of the issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Olive Ridge: Olive Ridge construction season for this site typically begins around mid-June and ends mid-September. The contractor must give the COR 14 days' notice before starting work at Olive Ridge. If Olive Ridge Option Items are awarded, an additional 60 days of contract time will be added to the contract, for a total contract time of 120 days. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT $500,000 - $1,000,000 BASE: The base bid includes only work on the Crow Valley Campground water system. This work includes the following work items in the specifications, and summarized below: o Well Improvements: o Remove and replace existing well pump and controls. o Remove and replace existing well cap with vented well cap. o Install 4' X 4' concrete pad around existing well head. o Treatment Equipment: o Remove and replace existing hydropneumatic tank (WM-60) o Remove and replace all existing plumbing inside pumphouse, including pipe, valves, hose bibbs, and gauges. o Electrical: o Remove and replace all existing electrical components within pumphouse, including conduit, wiring, panel, and space heater. o Isolation Valves: o Remove and replace (2) isolation valves for Crow Valley camp host. o Remove and replace (1) isolation valve for Briggsdale trailer pad and (1) isolation valve for residence. o Install (2) isolation valves on each livestock tank supply line. o Water Hydrants: o Remove and replace (4) existing hydrants within Briggsdale Work Center o Backflow Preventers: o Install (2) RPZ backflow preventers on each livestock tank supply line. OPTION A: Optional work on the Crow Valley Campground water system only includes: Arapaho & Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland Crow Valley and Olive Ridge Water Systems :- Remove and replace pipes and fittings connecting the two livestock tanks to the PVC distribution pipe. OPTION B: Optional work on the Olive Ridge Campground water system only include: o Demolition: o Demolition of existing buried water storage tanks and pump house o Well Improvements: o Installation of 1-in. pitless adaptor. o Installation of a new well pump. o Treatment Building & Foundation: o Placement of prefab treatment building and construction of associated foundation. o Treatment Equipment: o Installation of new treatment equipment, including chlorine pump and storage tank. o Electrical: o Installation of new electrical equipment for treatment equipment and building. o Water Lines: o Installation of 70ft of 1.5-inch HDPE water line in the Pika Loop of the campground as specified on the drawings. o Water Hydrants: o Installation of 1 new hydrant. OPTION C: Optional work on the Olive Ridge Campground water system include: o Water Lines: o Replacement of up to 2,400 ft of 1.5" HDPE water lines in the Dipper Loop of the campground and associated isolation valves. o Water Hydrants: o Replacement of up to 9 water hydrants and associated aggregate base. o Daylight Drains: o Replacement of up to 4 daylight drains, associated fitting and rip rap at outlet.
