The Board of Education of St. Mary's County on behalf of St. Mary's County Public Schools (SMCPS) is requesting sealed bids from experienced and qualified Contractors to perform electrical services to include on-call time, material service and repairs. Services shall include preventative maintenance, emergency services, repairs and/or replacements of parts as needed for SMCPS at schools, and centers throughout the school system. Contractors must be available by telephone twenty-four (24) hours a day, 365 days a year. In the event of an emergency, Contractors must be able to arrive at a work site within four (4) hours of being contacted by SMCPS. The resulting contract shall be awarded for a period of one (1) year with SMCPS having the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods. SMCPS reserves the right to award the requirements of this bid in total or in part as it determines to be in the best interest of SMCPS. SMCPS reserves the right to make multiple awards. Contract awards are subject to the availability of funding. Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation notice. St. Mary's County Public Schools reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informality in bidding.
