The City of New Roads, Louisiana will receive separate sealed Bids for the WSP 2023 Water Improvements; Consolidation Waterline. The Work includes installing approximately 16,000 linear feet of 8" PVC Water main from Walter Smith Road to the Pointe Coupee Parish Detention Center by means of open cut and horizontal direction drilling methods. Includes making changes to the tie-in at the detention center. Includes all appurtenances, valves, miscellaneous work required to install and operate the above work. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The work is subject to compliance with U.S. Department of Treasury Coronavirus State Fiscal Recover Fund requirements, as described in the bidding documents. The Prime Bidder must be a licensed contractor in good standing in the State of Louisiana holding a Commercial License in Heavy Construction or Municipal and Public Works Construction. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Since Federal funds are to be used on this project, Bidders are reminded that per federal law, all regulations and requirements of, but not limited to, 2 CFR 200.317 - 200.327 apply. This includes the additional good faith efforts to solicit minority owned, women owned, and disadvantaged owned businesses. Bidders are encouraged to thoroughly review Article 19.00 of Section 00 73 00 Supplementary Conditions within the Project Manual and to follow any and all federal requirements.
