Bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. 1. Regulatory Requirements: Current copies of building codes of the City of Lewistown, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Federal laws, shall govern submittal, opening, and award of bids. 2. Submit bids on the form provided; fill all blank spaces. State numbers in words and figures; write signatures longhand. The completed form shall be without interlineation, alteration or erasure. Bids shall contain no recapitulation of the work to be done. 3. Bids shall be sealed in an opaque envelope bearing the tile of the work, the name of the Owner and the name of the Bidder. B. Project Identification: Diesel and HVAC Lab Building. 1. Project Location: 700 Pitt Street, Lewistown, PA 17044. Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. Multiple Contract Project consisting of the following prime contracts: a. Mechanical Construction and Plumbing Construction. Note: The General and Electrical Contractors have been selected. B. Submit bids on the form provided; fill all blank spaces. State numbers in words and figures; write signatures longhand. The completed form shall be without interlineation, alteration or erasure. Bids shall contain no recapitulation of the work to be done. C. Bids shall be sealed in an opaque envelope bearing the title of the work, the name of the Owner and the name of the Bidder. A. Deposit as security with each bid a certified check, bank treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond as indicated in the specifications, payable to the Owner. Checks will be returned to all except the 2 lowest bidders within 7 days; and to others when contracts have been executed. The check of the second lowest bidder will be returned within 5 days upon the presentation of an acceptable bid bond. A bidder who fails to execute and deliver the contract within 7 days after receiving notice of award, together with certificates of insurance and bond forms as required, shall forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure, the security deposited with his bid. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after receipt of bids, except as may be provided by law. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. 1.7 NOTIFICATION A.
