2024 Nessel Township Chip sealing Program, Approximate major quantities of work are: One location that coating will be applied (about 10,134 sq yds) of: Provide emulsified asphalt meeting the requirements of AASHTO M316 - 99SRS-2P with modification FA-2 Class A Trap Rock Traffic control No QUOTES will be accepted unless filed with the Nessel Township Clerk. The Townships Board reserves the right to reject any or all QUOTES, to waive any informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interest of the Township. DESCRIPTION Construct a chip seal coating on prepared surface of bituminous material, followed immediately by an application of single layer of cover aggregate. Fog seal the completed chip seal coating. Road to be chip seal coated: Alpine Ave N. About 10134 sq. yds of Chip Sealing. Materials: Bituminous material: 1. Provide emulsified asphalt meeting the requirements of AASHTO M316-99 SRS2P and the following modifications: Distill the CRS-2Pat 400 degrees F (204.4 degrees C) for 20 min. Provide Plymer-Modified Cationic Emulsified Asphalt, CRS-2P produced by using polymer modified base asphalt only. Do not use latex modification. 2. Provide a CCS-lh, bituminous material for fog seal, as specified in MN/DOT 3151.E Seal Coat Aggregate: Use sound FA-2 Class A Trap Rock. Use clean aggregates, uniform in quality and free from wood, bark, roots and other deleterious materials.
