Saving Project...

Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Smoky Lake, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility.

Bar-V-Nook Manor, located in Smoky Lake was built in 2015 (Designated Supportive Living) with an addition built in 2018 (Seniors Lodge) and provides housing for 101 rooms in total (41 rooms in the Designated Supportive Living and 60 rooms in the Lodge). The existing Koehler generator that looks after the portion of the building that is Designated Supportive Living, only looks after a portion of this section of the building. Homeland Housing/Smoky Lake Foundation is proposing to upgrade the generator/transfer switch so that the entire section of this building is operated by this generator in the event of a power outage. For these reasons, Homeland Housing is working with TWS Engineering Ltd. in soliciting for a company to complete the generator upgrade at Bar-V-Nook Manor - Designated Supportive Living in Smoky Lake. The scope of work is fully detailed in the attached drawings and specifications from TWS and includes removal of existing generator, supply and install new larger generator, supply and install an additional new transfer switch (the existing one will remain in place to look after specified life/safety electrical components) and revision of electrical panel connections.
