Union City Board of Education ("Board") is soliciting sealed bids to provide roof maintenance & repair services. All bids must be on the forms obtained from the Board. All bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the words: "Sealed Bid Roof Maintenance & Repair Services". The envelope must be addressed to Anthony N. Dragona, Ed.D. School Business Administrator/Qualified Purchasing Agent of the Board at the address listed above, and may be delivered by hand, overnight courier, or mail. The envelope must be received by the Board by the date and time set forth above. No late bids will be accepted. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond from a surety company licensed to do business in New Jersey, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Total Cost in the bid submitted, but not in excess of $20,000.00, made payable to the Union City Board of Education. General Administrative Requirements of the bid/contract: Conformance to Public School Contracts Law (NJSA 18A:18A-l et.seq.); Conformance to New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.27, et. seq.) Conformance to Affirmative Action (PL 1975, C-127(NJAC 17:27); Public Disclosure Law, PL 1977, C-33 (Assembly Bill No. 22); Bid Security; Consent of Surety; State of New Jersey Department of Treasury, Business Registration Certificate; The Union City Board of Education reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in the bids, and to award the bid to a responsible and responsive bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the date set for the opening of bids as set forth above.
