Renovation of a residential development in Union City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The Housing Authority of The City of Union City is soliciting written proposals from Developer Partner or General Contractor to create a comprehensive plan and potentially act as the developer for the redevelopment of our affordable housing properties for renovations as defined by the scope of work. The UCHA elected to participate in the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) through a non-tax credit conversion. The Housing Authority has been issued Commitments to Housing Assistance Payments (CHAPs) for its residential units located at HillsideTerrace1(147 units), herein referred as "RAD Sites". The Housing Authority wishes to obtain comprehensive proposals that address conversion of the RAD Sites. The program involves Modernization and Rehabilitation at AMP 2 Hillside Terrace 1 Buildings. Minorities/Women owned firms are welcome to bid. The Union City Housing Authority if an Equal Opportunity Employer. The successful Bidder will be required to obtain a 100% Performance and Payment Bond from an acceptable Surety within seven (7) days of the contract award. All costs associated with obtaining the Performance and Payment Bond must be included within the Bid. No additional payment shall be made by the UCHA. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days following the bid submission deadline. The UCHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding. The successful Bidder will be required to execute the UCHA's contract within seven (7) days of contract award. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bidding or to reject any or all bids.
