New Roofs at Two (2) Housing Authority Buildings. Bidders Must Comply With the Requirements of P.l.1975, C.127 and N.j.s.a. 17:27; the Requirements for Alternative Dispute Resolution Adr as Established by P.l.i 977, C.371; N.j.s.a. 40.a: 11-50 and Specification of Subcontractor's Scope of Work as Established by P.l.1997, C.408, N.j.s.a. 40.a:11-16. The Public Housing Authority Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informality in Any Bid or Bids, to Reject Any and All Bids, and to Accept Such Bid or Bids and to Make Such Awards as May Be in the Best Interest of the Public Housing Authority in Accordance With Any and All Applicable Laws and Regulations. Bid Proposals Must Be Submitted as Directed by the Project Manual, in a Sealed Envelope, Addressed to Office of the City Clerk of the City of Union City 3715 Palisade Ave. Bid Proposals for Up to $400,000.00 Must Be Accompanied by a Negotiable Bid Guarantee Which Shall Not Be Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Amount of the Bid, but Not More Than $20,000.00. Bids Over $400,000.00 Shall Be Accompanied With a Negotiable Bid Guarantee of Five Percent (5%) of the Bid Amount. The Bid Guarantee May Be a Certified Check, Bank Draft, Payable to the Housing Authority or a Bid Bond Executed by the Bidder and Sureties Acceptable to the U.s. Government and Authorized to Do Business in the State of New Jersey. Bid Guarantee Must Be Made Out to the Housing Authority of the City of Union City. The Bid Guarantee Shall Insure the Execution of the Contract and the Furnishing of a Method of Assurance of Completion by the Successful Bidder as Required by the Solicitation. The Bid Guarantee Must Be Accompanied by Certification From Surety Company That They Will Provide Performance and Labor Bond for 100% of the Contract Price (See Enclosed Consent of Surety Form). All Bidders, including corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships must be registered with the Department of Labor as a Public Works Contractor. This Project is Being Executed With Funds Provided by the U.s. Government Through the Department of Housing and Urban Development. No Bidders May Withdraw Their Bid Within Thirty (30) Days After the Actual Date of the Bid Opening. Prospective bidders are hereby informed that not less than the minimum prevailing wage rates as required by HUD shall be paid on this project.
