Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Vidor, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This contract provides for drainage improvements along Orange Street within the City of Vidor. Proposed improvements include removing and replacing existing culverts and storm sewer facilities, improvement to the storm sewer culverts and drainage inlets, installation of additional drainage inlets, repairing driveways and street crossings, reconstruction of the existing concrete pavement, and all associated appurtenances. This contract shall include all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, inspection, testing, and superintendence required for the complete and operable rehabilitation of the proposed project as shown on the contract plans and specifications. Proposed improvements shall take place along approximately 2,600 LF of Orange Street between South Main St. FM 105 and Woodland Street. All questions shall be received through electronically or in writing via email and addressed by Addendum. Questions submitted after this time & date will not be answered. 1. The Contractor shall restore the work route to its original condition or better prior to acceptance by the Owner. 2. The Contractor shall contact Mr. Robbie Hood at (409) 769-5473 prior to starting any work within the project area. 3. Any changes in quantities will be addressed by change order and will have to be approved by the Owner before any work can be done. 4. All excess materials removed during the course of the project will have to be properly disposed of by the Contractor. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Vidor or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of Vidor reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Vidor for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
