Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Vidor, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This contract provides for roadway and channel crossing improvements along Old Spanish Trail within the City of Vidor. Proposed improvements include removing debris and existing culverts, installation of a new bridge (including abutments, piles and approach slabs), removal of existing asphalt pavement, raising the existing road grade (maximum approximately 2'), installation of a new asphalt roadway, and all associated appurtenances. Funding for this project is covered under Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. All eligible bidders must comply with Section 3 requirement in regard to meeting or exceeding the required objectives for both hiring and subcontracting. In accordance with these objectives, contractors are required to direct their newly created employment and/or subcontracting opportunities to Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. A Pre-Bid Conference will NOT be held on this project The City of Vidor reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Vidor for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
