Site work and paving for a road / highway in Litchfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Contractor shall replace about 342' of curb in various locations. Some will be driveway aprons. Contractor will remove the existing pavement to 12" deep. Contractor shall then remove an addition 4" from the center 16' which will thereby lower the crown of the road 4". The contractor will add 8" of subgrade aggregate and a tack coat and 2" of N-50 Binder and 2" 0f N-50 Surface mix. The selection of a contractor will be based on the evaluation of the proposals. The City reserves the right to select a contractor directly from the written proposals. The award may be made to the most qualified contractor whose proposal is deemed most advantageous to the city; all factors considered. Unsuccessful contractors will be notified as soon as possible. The city reserves the right to negotiate an agreement with the selected contractor based on fair and reasonable compensation for the scope of work and services proposed as well as the right to reject any and all responses deemed unqualified, unsatisfactory, or inappropriate.
