Salt Lake City Corporation (the City), is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified suppliers to provide Abrasive Sand, used to provide traction on the runways, parallels, and high-speed taxiways, for the Department of Airports. Question Deadline 05/03/2024 at 10:00 AM MT Bidders must submit questions online. Salt Lake City Department of Airports strives to keep their inventory facility full of abrasive sand at all times, and typically fills the storage unit in the Summer and Fall months. Then, uses inventory during the winter, with rapid inventory depletion during heavy storms. Salt Lake City Department of Airports may have a need to place orders typically at the end of May, in the 500 ton range, for preferred deliveries from approx. June 1st to August 31st shipment and desires delivery within (7) seven days after receipt of order. Salt Lake City Department of Airports has typically requested the use of an end dump or belt discharge truck in delivery of the abrasive sand. Salt Lake City Corporation reserves the right to reject any equipment delivered, or any part of said equipment, if said equipment or part thereof fails to conform in every respect to the equipment specifications set forth in this solicitation. Salt Lake City Corporation reserves the option to cancel any accepted bid, in its entirety, due to non-conformance on the part of the vendor, and to accept the next lowest responsive bid.
