2024 City of Denison 13th Avenue South Storm Sewer Replacement Bidder agrees that the Work will be completed and ready for final payment as follows: Work shall be substantially completed by May 31, 2024. Bond Notes: A bid bond, as well as performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid bond shall be a certified check or bond of a reputable bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Iowa in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder must execute performance and payment bonds, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, to ensure a timely, efficient, and complete performance. The bonds shall be issued from a reputable bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Iowa. Owner Rights: The owner has the right to accept or reject any or all quotes and waive informalities. Liquidity Damages: liquidated damages, or if no liquidated damages are specified in the Construction Contract, actual damages caused by delayed performance or non-performance of the Contractor.
