Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Riverton, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Riverton CUSD #14 hereby invites qualified general contractors to submit sealed bids to furnish all labor and materials to complete requirements of bidding for Riverton Elementary Playground Improvements. Work will consist of removal of existing woodchip playground surfacing, milling and overlaying HMA pavement, drainage and grading, preparing subgrade for playground surfacing, PC Concrete Sidewalks, and removal and replacement of perimeter chain-link fencing and gates. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked "Riverton Elementary Playground Improvements". An accompanying bid bond shall be equal to 5% of the total bid price. This may be in the form of a Certified Check, Bank Draft, or Bid Bond payable to the Owner. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid accepted. Persons interested in visiting the site shall contact MEC to coordinate access with Riverton District personnel. Riverton CUSD #14 reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids, reject any or all bids and to accept any bid deemed most advantageous to the School District. Work can begin Tuesday, May 28th and should be complete before Friday August 2, 2024. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked “Riverton CUSD #14 Elementary Playground Improvements”. An accompanying bid bond shall be equal to 10% of the total bid price. Bid Bond executed by the Bidder as principal, and having as surety thereon a surety company acceptable to the Owner in the amount of no less than five percent (5%) of the Bid Sum, on a form acceptable to the Owner.
