Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Riverton, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.

Work will consist of removal of existing playground equipment, removal of existing concrete block bleachers, earth excavation, tree removal, concrete pavement, concrete bleacher foundations, and culverts for drainage. Until bids have been opened, plans and specifications shall be on file in the office of Martin Engineering Company, subject to the inspection of all parties desiring to bid An accompanying bid bond shall be equal to 10% of the total bid price. This may be in the form of a Certified Check, Bank Draft, or Bid Bond payable to the Owner. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen, mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid accepted. Persons interested in visiting the site shall contact MEC to coordinate access with Riverton District personnel. Site visits shall take place outside of school hours and in the accompaniment of Riverton District personnel. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities and minor irregularities in bidding, and to award a Contract for any part of the Work or the Project as a whole.
