Work will consist of crack sealing, pavement patching, seal coating, milling and overlaying HMA pavement, and pavement striping on various campus parking lots and roadways. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked "Riverton CUSD #14 - 2026 Pavement Maintenance Program". An accompanying bid bond shall be equal to 5% of the total bid price and may be in the form of a Certified Check, Bank Draft, or Bid Bond payable to the Owner. Bids received after stated time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Plans and specifications are on file in the office of Martin Engineering Company for inspection. Interested parties may obtain bidding documents electronically by emailing mecmail@martinengineeringco.com or requesting hard copies from Martin Engineering Company. The successful Bidder is required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid accepted. Contractors shall not pay less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor and must comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act. The Board reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids, reject any or all bids, and accept any bid deemed most advantageous to the School District.
