Summary Washington County Facilities and Parks Division is seeking quotes for the excavation work out at Scoggins Valley Park Henry Hagg Lake. The work will be in an area known as Bobcat Cove. The purpose of this project is to supply utilities to our Bobcat Cove Rec area. Background Scoggins Valley Park is located at 50250 SW Scoggins Valley Rd., Gaston OR 97119. Question Submission Deadline:May 7, 2024, 2:00pm If necessary, interpretations or clarifications in response to questions will be issued by addenda. Questions received after the deadline to submit questions may not be answered unless the County determines, in its sole discretion that it is in its best interests to do so. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Scope of work: Contractor will provide utility locates to discover any underground utilities that could be in the work zones. Contractor will pothole, until visible, any marked utility that crosses or is in close proximity to the intended bore path. Contractor will excavate a central bore pit, approximately 5 feet by 3 feet by 3 feet in depth, in the B.O.R. land approximately 250 feet east of SW Scott Hill Rd side casting all material. Contractor will excavate a receiving pit on the western side of SW Scott Hill Rd. side casting all material. Contractor will excavate a receiving pit at the new power pole location along SW Scott Hill Rd., approximately 3 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet in depth side casting all material. Contractor will excavate two receiving pits along the western and easter side of the Bobcat Trail Head parking lot entrance side casting all material. Contractor will drill west from the SW Scott Hill Rd. pit approximately 450 feet at an approximate depth of 3 feet to the new power pole location. Contractor will install approximately 460 feet of 3-inch HPDE electrical conduit. Contractor will install a 90 sweep and stub the conduit up out of the ground. Contractor will drill west from the central bore pit approximately 250 feet to the SW Scott Hill Rd. pit. Contractor will install approximately 260 feet of 3-inch HPDE electrical conduit. Contractor will drill east from the central bore pit approximately 300 feet to the transformer location west of the parking lot entrance. Contractor will install approximately 310 feet of 3-inch HPDE electrical conduit. Contractor will drill from the transformer location west approximately 60 feet to the kiosk location. Contractor will install approximately 70 feet of 3-inch HPDE electrical conduit. Contractor will install a 90 sweep and stub the conduit up out of the ground. Contractor will hydro-excavate all slurry created by the drilling process with the hauling and disposal of all material at an offsite location. Contractor will make all connections with 3-inch swage couplers. Contractor will install a pull string the entire length of each conduit to allow for easy installation of power cables. Contractor will backfill all bore pits with native material The County does not intend to pre-qualify any respondents for this project. All quotes submitted for this project will be considered provided that they meet the criteria set forth in the quote documents with respect to submission in a timely manner, bonding, and all other applicable requirements.
