The proposed contract will complete Silviculture surveys in the Dawson Creek TSA, covering a project size of approximately 3,419 hectares that will require ~1,892 plots. Blocks are located throughout the Dawson Creek TSA. Survey type(s) include Free Growing, Stocking, and Survival surveys. The contract will include layout for brushing and fill-planting treatment units. The contract will require a range of qualified professionals and technical staff working in various conditions including isolated areas. Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1st, 2022. Estimated Contract Duration (10 months)
