Walkways and Driveways, (If and Where Directed) - 15 S.Y., 9" x 20" Concrete Vertical Curb, French Gray - 1,342 L.F., Granite Block Curb (If and Where Directed) - 30 L.F., 1-1/2" RNMC Electrical Conduit (CUG), Typical - 1,098 L.F., 2-1/2" RNMC Electrical Conduit (CUG), Typical - 182 L.F., 3" RMC Electrical Conduit Mounted on Existing Utility Pole - 44 L.F., Multiple Lighting Wire No. 8 AWG - 5,528 L.F., Electric Service Wire No. 1 AWG - 231 L.F., 18" x 36" Junction Box - 2 Units, Meter Cabinet (Vinyl Wrap Exterior), Complete with Foundation, 200A Breaker Panel, External 200A Meter Pan (Vinyl Wrap Exterior), and Electrical Disconnect (Vinyl Wrap Exterior) - 1 Unit, Light Pole Foundation, Bollard Light - 28 Units, Light Pole Foundation, Streetscape Light - 1 Unit, Furnish and Install Bollard Light - 28 Units, Furnish and Install Streetscape Light Pole and Lighting Fixtures - 1 Unit. The Town of Morristown will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded by mail or delivery service. The Town of Morristown reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The successful bidder will be required to execute the contract and file a bond within (10) ten days after award of the project and submit a Business Entity Disclosure Certification and any other necessary documentation required under Chapter 2, Section 2-87, Public Contracting Reform Ordinance (Town of Morristown's Local Pay to Play Ordinance). Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, (bid bond amount not to exceed $20,000.00), and made payable to the order of the Town of Morristown, together with a "Consent of Surety" from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey stating that it will provide the contractor with a bond in such amount as requested in the advertisement or specifications. The guarantee of the successful bidder will be returned upon execution of the contract. All guarantees of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon award of contract to the successful bidder. Bidders (and Bidder's subcontractors, if any) should submit a Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Revenue, in accordance with the requirements of P.L. 2009, c. 315. Bidders must be registered pursuant to The Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48, et seq., (the "PWCRA") at the time that the bid is made and must submit a copy of the certificate of registration with the bid form. All subcontractors listed in the bid must also be registered pursuant to the PWCRA at the time the bid is submitted. After the bid is made and prior to the awarding of the contract, the successful bidder must submit to the Town copies of the certificates of registration for all subcontractors listed in the bid. Bidding information contained in this Bid should be clear and not subject to qualifications, deletions, erasures, or other markings that create any doubt as to its meaning. Bidders should make sure that the Bid Form is signed by a duly authorized person on behalf of the bidder and that the bid is responsive. Bidders can determine the responsiveness of their bid by reading "General Instructions for Bidders" and the "Bid Document Submission Checklist". INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED EXACTLY OR THE BID MAY BE DECLARED NON-RESPONSIVE. The right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in any bid is reserved if such an action is not detrimental to the interest of the Town of Morristown. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127, which pertains to "non-discrimination" and "affirmative action" and P.L. 1977, c. 33, which refers to the statement of corporation ownership. Attention is called to the fact that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex, or national origin and to the greatest extent possible, opportunity for training and employment shall be given to lower-income residents of the project area and that, when possible, contracts shall be awarded to business concerns owned by area residents. More specifically, this work shall consist of the construction of Concrete Sidewalk, 5" Thick, French Gray, Concrete Driveway Apron, 7" Thick, French Gray, Detectable Warning Surface (Embed), Hot Mix Asphalt Driveway, 3" Thick, Furnish and Install Brick Paver Walkway, Repair/Replace Brick/Paver/Tile/Bluestone/Cobblestone/Conc. Walkways and Driveways, (If and Where Directed). Pay items includes all excavation, removal, transportation, disposal, preparation, forming, sawcutting, cutting of bluestone, limestone, and paver materials to any size and/or shape as required per plans and specs or as directed by the engineer, the placing of said materials in any pattern as per plans and specs or as directed by the RE, placing of concrete, materials, and labor necessary for completion of construct item as shown on the plans and details and contained herein.
