Bids are being accepted by the City of Iowa Falls for lawn care services for private properties in non-compliance of the City's Property Maintenance Code (Chapter 164,164.12) The City Ordinance allows private properties with grass in excess of 8" to be mowed after a 72-hour notice has been issued to the owner of the property. If the property owner does not comply within 72 hours, City staff will contact the mowing contractor to have the subject property mowed within 72 hours of issued work order. All formal proposals shall include: two (2) references that have or that are currently receiving your services; a list of available equipment; and personnel. Awarded contractor shall be required to provide proof of liability insurance coverage of a minimum of $500,000 (five hundred thousand dollars), prior to execution of contract. This liability insurance coverage is required to be retained throughout the term of contract.
