Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) is located in Camden, NJ at 401 S. Broadway. The University desires to create a 5,020 SF functional lab where a classroom currently exists. The program for this new functional lab is described in this request for proposal. Rowan University invites proposals from qualified, licensed professionals to provide feasibility through project close-out services for the new additions .
All potential bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A. This project shall be conducted in two phases:
1. Phase 1: Complete a Feasibility/Schematic Design (SD) along with an anticipated project schedule and estimate to be reviewed and approved by the University. Based on the outcome, the University may decide not to proceed with the project.
2. Phase 2: Design Development (DD), Construction Documents Phase (CD), Permitting Phase (PM), Bidding and Contract Award Phase (BCA), Construction Administration Phase (CA), Project Close-Out

The program for the project is as follows:
1. (7) Lab Benches with power, vacuum, air, gas
2. (6) "Cubies" to be fit out for different experiment use.
a. (1) cubie to contain fume hood/chemical prep & 220V power
b. (1) cubie to contain biosafety cabinet, vacuum, air, 220V power
3. (1) Prep Room to contain (1) biosafety cabinets
4. (1) Conference Room requiring new furniture
5. (3) New Offices requiring new furniture
6. Hoteling space with maximum seating capacity requiring new furniture.
7. Equipment Corridor requiring cabinets and storage racks.
8. Emergency Power required for all sub-20, 60, 80 refrigerators.
9. Deionized water connections required at existing sinks.
10. Appropriate eyewash stations and safety shower
11. Minor IT upgrades:
a. card readers/door modifications.
b. wireless access points
c. AV in the conference room
d. New LAN drops
