The Municipality reserve the right to reject any or all proposals Milling of Asphalt Surface 2.0-inch Depth: Provide a milling machine designed and built for milling existing Asphalt roadway pavement with a grade and slope control system. Mill the Asphalt surface to a uniform surface 2.0-inch depth as required, for the full width ofthe roadway. Milled material to be removed and stockpiled or disposed of as directed by the Montgomery Borough Official. Milling should provide a properly cross-sloped surface to maintain drainage throughout construction. Mill the roadway area to provide a finished surface that is free from gouges, grooves, and ridges. Immediately after milling, remove milled material. Carefully remove the existing Asphalt material around utility facilities within work areas. Repair or replace utility facilities that are damaged by the milling operation to the satisfaction ofthe utility owner. Control the rate of milling to avoid tearing ofthe mat, which causes chunky and non-uniformly milled material. If directed, separate oversized and chunky milled material. Maintain the milled pavement surface free of all loose materials and dust. GeneralMilling Note: o Milling heads mounted to roadway equipment will not be accepted for milling roadway surface. This includes but not limited to milling head mounted onto skid steers, loaders and backhoes. o Milling includes removal of existing asphalt curbing on Piatt Street. o Borough to retain all millings. Asphalt Wearing Course 9.5mm Fine Grade: Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, PG 64S-22, < 0.3 Million ESALS, 9.5 MM FG Mix, SRL-L Furnish and place Asphalt Wearing Course material at A" scratch course compacted depth across entire cross-section of roadway as indicated and finished wearing coarse at 1 A" compacted depth across entire cross-section ofroadway as indicated for a total depth of 2". General Paving Note: o Paving of Piatt Street include the installation of asphalt rolled curb. Location shall be confirmed by Montgomery Borough official prior to installation. Asphalt Base Course 25.0 mm Base Repair, As-Directed Base Repair: Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Base Course, PG 64S-22, >10 million ESALs, 25.0 MM Mix. Construct by marking the area to be replaced as directed, saw cut or mill the perimeter. Remove and dispose of all material within the area to a depth of 4", compact the existing subgrade or subbase, thoroughly clean and dry all Asphalt surfaces, tack coat the existing Asphalt edges then place and compact 4" Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Base Course, PG 64S-22, >10 million ESALs, 25.0 MM Mix.
