As of August 13, 2024, an engineer has been selected for the project. Bidding is estimated to take place in January-February 2025 and construction is estimated to take place in March-June of 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Valley County Idaho is accepting Statements of Qualifications from engineering firms to provide consulting services for the Improvements to the Valley County Solid Waste Transfer Building. Examine the concrete tipping floor to determine the best course of action to restore it or replace it. Examine the trench drain in the concrete tipping floor and determine the best course to return it functionality. Design and engineer the extension of the east and west concrete wall barriers to prevent solid waste from getting trapped between the barrier and the building metal siding. Design and engineer approximately a thirty (30) foot concrete divider wall between the two (2) tipping floor bays. Engineer the replacement of the Red Iron steel framing around the bay openings that has been damaged. Design and engineer protection for the red iron framing of the bay openings. Interested and qualified firms are invited to submit information that demonstrates their experience in performing projects of this type and complexity A certified statement that the firm is registered in Idaho and licensed to perform engineering services in Idaho. List of experience of solid waste engineering for Valley County and other counties in Idaho. Solid waste transfer station and rural collection site design experience. Demonstrated understanding of the Idaho Code for solid waste management facilities.
